The clock is ticking. Until the record attempt of the Dodge Viper on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring it is only 5 days. Snake and team are well equipped - not least thanks to high-performance tires from the Korean manufacturer Kumho.

In the hunt for the record for road-legal vehicles, Dominik Farnbacher and Luca Stolz are making their mark on July 24, 2017. To support the project on the 20.832-kilometer course on the one hand, strikingly large spoilers, which ensure an extremely high contact pressure of one ton when reaching the top speed. Even original equipment street tires from the ECSTA series of the Korean manufacturer Kumho in the dimensions 295/25 R19 front and 355/30 R19 rear will contribute by excellent handling characteristics their part.

Equipped with the power of the 8.4-liter V10 engine with 481 kW / 654 hp and 814 Newtonmeter, the Viper has realistic chances to break the record of 6:52 minutes recently set by a Lamborghini Huracán Performante.

The record hunt has made 417 US Viper fans who collected 176.792 US dollars in a crowdfunding campaign and brought two Viper ACRs to Germany in mid-July. A Texas trader had provided the two vehicles. After the performance at the Nürburgring, which is celebrating its 90th birthday this year, the fans of their favorite snake can then say softly Adieu. The production of the legendary power pack was discontinued with the fifth generation.
